COVID:19 India to begin testing of 4 Ayurvedic medicines for treatment of corona within a week: Ministry of AYUSH

Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in the country. The country’s corona patients have crossed the 78,000 marks. In such a situation, preparations are also being made to treat corona with Ayurvedic medicines. India is working on four ayurvedic medicines to treat coronavirus infection and the trial will begin soon. Ayush Minister Shripad Naik gave this information.
Shripad Naik wrote in his tweet- “Ministry of AYUSH and CSIR are working together to certify four AYUSH medicines against Coronavirus. The trial will start within a week. These drugs are called add-on therapy (other drugs As with).


Earlier, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH had said that three types of studies have been done in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of AYUSH, and CSIR. He said, ‘Trials on four medicines are starting across the country. We are studying a very large sample size which is in quarantine or high-risk population. It has a sample size of 5 lakhs. The advice given by the Prime Minister regarding immunity to the medicines of the Ministry of AYUSH is making an impact on the assessment of 50 lakh people. All four medicines are from Ayurveda.

Kotecha had said, “We will do it together in many places across the country. These are the drugs that increase immunity, through which the trials will be done. Four drugs Ashwagandha, Guduchi (Giloy) Peepli, Mulethi, will be tried through these medicines.” Then these will be processed
